9:22 am - huzzah ... vinyl representations of my psyche have arrived at Mooland!
Sparing whoever reads this the wailing/moaning/renting of garment/gnashing of teeth that is life at Mooland as of late - because, buck up, gimpgrrrl, in the real world, yer pretty damn lucky - the Joy, the Wonder, The Hoopla that ensued when the box from SLG arrived yesterday cannot be described as the soothing balm it was ... 'A Thing of Beauty and a Joy Forever ...' if only I could wax eloquent as Evan & Sarah, whom I thank sincerely, for the one good moment in this miserable month. The Carton of Hate & the Wedge of Spite kept my spirits up twelve years back when I was being diagnosed w/ms, & now the vinyls are here in my warren (as my darling brother calls it), much like High Holies to watch over me w/their Weapons of Doom. Thank you, thank you, 10q, etc ... and happy Lenny Bruce's birthday. Selah.

11:58 am - absenteed a while back
mooma just returned from her first venture in electronic voting - yes, harmony 2 has succumbed. no hope is left. wearing my tom tomorrow 'george bush is a wanker!!' shirt to wallyworld to pick up scrips - angry mobs w/lighters not included. wearing considerably less to the meet&greet tonight. waiting to hear laughably lame lines from the gallery ... 'unger? oveur. oveur? dunne.' if only the leghumpers were that pointedly crass ... ah well. who better to spend election night w/than the lehigh valley's best & brightest (yawn). hoping to see a few chosen allies amongst the axis of ennui - if not, will be an early night. wild turkey at my hence ... all will be well.

3:27 pm - ...& w/o a drop of alcohol ...
...which is more than i can say for any of the longer roadtrips of far-or-recent past. not to say that none was purchased - liebchen got 10% off his purchase at long hollow winery in kentucky (or was it tennessee?) for being TechnoMan, giving life to the register & wowing the bighaired woman behind the counter. it was lovely to watch ... the tasting was excellent, also. timing, cats & kittens - it's all timing ...
to the chagrin of my beau, me mum, & just about everyone else, the road trip was completed w/o incident, & w/high spirits & cleansed karma. timely, necessary, fun ... many thanks to liebchen, who made it possible, who made the mental housecleaning probable, who made gotosleeps/wakeups so damned pleasureable 8). kept notes, on paper & in grey matter, to be transferred as the days move on. having to play catch-up at the moo & w/beau ... all will be well.

1:00 am - boo & precious - not the sweet housecats they seem ...
zoe & i arrived at beau's a bit before noon yesterday. he was still at work, so we, per form, went in & greeted the maywood cats on the bed ... but where were they? zoe ran off into the living room, where she crowded in w/boo, the huge black & white cat & his sister precious, the slightly smaller tabby w/no sense of humor. what indeed were they in a huddle about? i pushed them back to reveal - a dead & rather dented squirrel. a small specimen, but nevertheless. zoe wanted to munch on said delicacy, so i went to kitchen, got paper towels, picked up the poor critter, & laid it outside on the brickwork, much to the consternation of my pup. beau, at hearing the story & witnessing the remains, recalled that he had heard a fuss during the early morning. how said squirrel gained access to house is still a mystery. but now, boo - whose intelligence is not his long suit - & precious - whose energy level is lower than mine own - are feline weapons to be feared ...be afraid ...

6:26 pm - viva shake!
turned to msnbc early the other night, waiting for olbermann to start. caught the end of 'hardball' - eek. bad enough normally, but i have the magic of closed captioning to enhance my television experience. matthews & his guests were discussing *sigh* if one is allowed to judge one's politics/lifestyle solely by one's t-shirt. of course, che gueverra was mentioned. except, the closed captioning person typed 'shake riberra'. i snorted, thought 'mercy, you'll be w/o donut priviledges after that one, sunny jim'. but it happened again - 'shake riberra' ... & again ... & again & again ... i'm not sure what to think of this - whether an educated person was having some fun at a low paying job, or if a barely educated person was showing their lack of recent history knowledge at their low paying job. i graduated hs from a sports/FFA-based pissant nnj hs, but i know che gueverra. i hope my spelling is correct.

7:28 am - bad bod, no bourbon
timing has never been my long suit. therefore, friday night's party, tuesday night's m&g, wednesday's payday duties caught up w/me. urgh. will slip into my jello mold at beau's tonight & stay there until monday morning, moving only for meds & booty, should it be offered.

did get bourbon for bty's impending visit - the obligatory wt 80proof, & a new brand - bulleit frontier. sounds like a peckinpah outtake. we shall see.

excused from jury duty - they don't know how lucky they are ... more insurance papers for my mdoc to fill out. insurance companies must believe that all ms people go to lourdes & get spontaneously healed like lola falana (sp?). no such luck, prudential etc ... the closest i'll get is going to the jersey shore & getting mugged by the hockey players from 'dogma'.

mooma is well. she says she needs ovaltine. will pick up for her when i make the pilgrimage for the elusive xanax this weekend.

note to bty - if need be, have things sent to the moo until you find better digs. DOT will guard them for you.

6:29 am - DOT, on the am prowl
she has been chasing mini as of late. not sure what this means, toadboy - you need to have a brain-to-fur w/her ...

mooma drove to belvidere yesterday afternoon for cat fud - her nerves are better. she's still bitchin bout the whole photo ID fiasco, which is her right. fucking fratboy. won't even discuss what pop would have to say ... btu is still pushing for the selling of the moo. mooma has told him 'fuck you'. proud of her.

sent the dr's letter to the jury management office yesterday. they really don't want me on their jury ... really. my milk & cheese t-shirt will come in handy just in case, 10q bty.

beau is escorting me & a couple friends to a party in mt laurel tonight. not the kind of party one would invite one's mum. the wt is ready, 80proof, cause i'm a weak sister. tomorrow, beau has chauffeurring (sp?) duties for family - i'll be watching horror marathon on amc. again, people turn to this post for the latest & hippest. where's my bukowski ...

11:35 am - mooma has her picture taken
the trolls at the dmv needed more than her birth certificate, ss card, prior license, utility bill, checkbook ... needed to draw the line from her birth name to her married name ... back home to get the marriage certificate. once more into the breach ... & mooma has her first photo ID. fratboy is surely pleased, the global rectal ache. one more elderly woman whose nerves he had on edge ... she is relaxed now, petting cats , walking pup.

called wallyworld, still no sign of xanax. me patience, it grows thin.

7:12 am - hi ho, hi ho, to dmv we go
for the first time in her life, mooma will be getting a photo ID this morning, 10q fratboy. she's a bit nervous about it, of course - trying to assure her all will be well. she found her birth certificate, a feat in itself, being it's been 78 years & a home birth on Northampton St in Easton ... license good for four years. she'll still want to drive to the a&p for cat food ...

then my errands in the afternoon - see if the pdoc's minion called in my freaking xanax yet ... oh don't worry, it's Just Your Anxiety Pills - & then to mdoc's office - she was kind enough to write me a 'don't let this gimp grrl on a jury' letter ... to beau's for the night, perhaps a cuppa in the am w/a friend, home. the excitement of being me - save me a room at the volney, mrs. parker.

cats are on the howl. DOT visited, demanding attention, as is her right. she gets closer to egressing at every opening of the door. zoe makes sure she stays inside - it's not easy for cats on the mountain ...

hoping to give mazel tov to carless_sam for the temple job, even w/the inebriated architecture. if saint shane can make his way through london on a pissup, you can make your way through lawyerville ...

6:47 am - c is for coffee, that's good enough for me
put new bulb in headlight yesterday, herkimer is roadworthy once more. last night, mooma & i were visited by the young man who lives on the corner at the top of the hill. his name is tom, he is rather large, covered in tats, a nice ex-skinhead - ah, youth. he is working on a walking stick for mooma culled from the woods across the road - yes, 'the woods where no one goes ...' a pretty piece, w/a vine growing through it - quite eclectic. mooma showed him pop's old trunk, of course - he noticed the 'rocket to russia' stand-up in the warren & admired ... after some talking, found out that we share a liking of italian zombie movies. had just picked up a book on such - 'eaten alive!' - gave it to him to peruse - he was happy. his next meaningful course in life is to get his face tatooed in reckless bloody zombie fashion & present himself to romero/savini as the first punk zombie in a 'dead' movie. self-actualization at its best, young man - fare the well.
pdoc today - gimme gimme my xanax. dinner w/beau, back home tomorrow after wallyworld scrip pickup, put on 'raindogs' & read. harumph.
'god the save the queen, we mean it, man ... no future, no future, no future for me ...'
also happy bdays to iggy & john cameron mitchell.

1:29 am - DOT sez 'ming-yow'
don't know what to do - DOT has overtaken the warren - she is underneath the bed, searching for feng-shui items that DO NOT EXIT. she prowls by the catbox, yowling because the mooma took the CAP OFF THE CATBOX! she slides into the closet, stalking the heels that her mom WILL NEVER WEAR AGAIN!

please, DOT, go to sleep ... let me be ... let me try to rest in the morning that does does not redeem ...

current mood: calm
current music: dirty three

9:51 pm - doo dar, doo dar
no south of the mason-dixon this weekend - bad weather & beau has to work. i am not ashamed to say that i am relieved. have not the physical nor mental constitution to be surrounded by repubs in a condo on the outer banks ... where's me whiskey, yargh ...

wotan has not given me menopause. fie. have been visited muchly by DOT, who is cute. she has taken to napping w/me - must be the hydrocodone essence i give off. mini sleeps in a ball on the couch, when she does not reside in mooma's hair. DC makes spectacular saves on top of the television.

keep dreaming about schmuckley. not good. no wonder i don't sleep more than a four hour stretch.

6:45 am - the turkeys have returned to mooland
heard the horse making noise last night, then heard ms hen bird making her case known. 'who was here first, four-foot?' all is well.

got mooma aired out zombie-man day. beau & i escorted her to the house of one of the beau's sisters, complete w/hubby, hubby parental units, & cute sprog. really. she is my hat proving ground - it looks good on lainie grace, it passes muster. mooma had a good time - she usually does, once she is dragged out from beyond the mailbox. zoe & mocha ran in the yard. fun.

yesterday, mooma made a grocery run to belvidere (argh), was stopped on the way back, & received a warning for having a headlight out. the cop-type ignored the speeding yuppies to pull over a white haired elder & make her nervous. delightful.

not a good bod week. wotan, please give me menopause.

maybe going to NC outer banks this weekend to visit beau's repub family ... am not prepared. need some rainy weather down there to save me. we have a party to attend in south jersey next friday night - need to save strength for that - know what i'll be finding there ...

enough. later ...
